Ray Kieliszak heads Cedar Croft Consulting’s new Upstate New York office. Kieliszak is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience in leading operations through start-up, turnaround, multiple strategic plans, and implementation to improve profitability and efficiency. After a 10-year career at General Motors, he developed a niche for providing advisory services to small to medium-sized businesses, primarily those that were private equity and family owned. Kieliszak’s blend of hands-on operations experience. combined with financial understanding and industrial engineering skills, as well as executive leadership at multiple businesses provides an excellent addition to the Cedar Croft brand.
“We are excited to have Ray join the Cedar Croft team. His broad experience will be a benefit to all our clients, and his presence in Rochester, NY positions us to better serve our clients and referral source in this geographic market that is very important to our firm.” says Patrick Walsh, CEO and founder, Cedar Croft Consulting.
The Cedar Croft business model also depends on referrals to work with middle-market companies that are in financial difficulties. These companies are usually in some element of default or heading towards default. Existing lenders may enter into forbearance agreements with these companies in addition of providing a list of consulting firms that are acceptable to the lender. The company will then interview and decide which firm on this list it will engage with. “It is my job to ensure that Cedar Croft Consulting is included on that list,” says Walsh.
Other new additions to Cedar Croft Consulting include a new website and blog as well as a new and increased social media presence on Twitter, Linkedin and Google+. According to Walsh, the goal for the Cedar Croft Consulting brand to is not only expand physical reach, but also drive more and better online conversations about business restructuring, turnaround consulting, crisis management and more. The key is to educate in order to make the restructure process less fearful for those company leaders and business owners who truly are in need of help. Walsh’s first entry on the firm’s new blog covers this process.
